What does the perfect facial entail?
A thorough consultation!!! Sometimes this is often overlooked, but it is the most important part of your skin care journey. Certain information like your medical history and lifestyle is required to fully understand what the best treatment for you skin should be. Also your expectations on results you would like to achieve need to be discussed as well. Once the consultation is finished you can start your skincare journey with me.
I work with two main skincare brands, namely award winning Environ Skincare developed by a South African plastic surgeon Des Fernandes and luxury medical brand AlumierMD which was launched in 2016 and has been continually developed and driven by a group of skincare-passionate scientists and science-loving skincare specialists with over 100 years of combined experience in the industry. Both brands are results driven. Many of my clients use products from both brands to achieve the results they want and likewise do I.
Lets talk facials
These are the facials I offer in my salon: Active Vitamin Facials using the DF Ionzyme machine, Radio Frequency, Microcurrent, Micro-needling, Growth Factor Facials, Dermalux TriWave MD and Chemical Peels.
Active Vitamin Facial

Radio Frequency
Carlton’s ThermoVisage Pro 3-in-1 system improves facial features as well as body contouring. When combined these 3 elements provide the ultimate advanced procedures for anti-ageing and body shaping.
The ThermaVisage RF Pro contains Radio Frequency (RF), Vacuum Suction and Chromatherapy. RF generates gentle heat deep in the skin that in turn helps contract muscle fibres and produce more collagen. Vacuum suction allows detoxification and remodelling of the features and Chromatherapy enhances the effects of the treatment.
By increasing the temperature of the existing connective tissue and by activating the fibroblast cells by means of heat to produce new collagen and new elastic, the wrinkles and signs of ageing are smoothed, giving the a completely natural lifting effect.
The main purpose of using vacuum suction in a face or body treatment is to improve both lymph and blood circulatory systems in order to aid the removal of waste products and excess fluid. It can also assist in breaking down hard fat.
Microcurrent
Carlton’s MesoLift Pro allows for the repositioning of the facial muscles and the improvement of facial contours. It also uses electroporation which is a non-invasive form of mesotherapy, allowing the non invasive penetration of concentrates and products into the skin, without the use of needles which are traditionally used. This means no downtime and your skin products will work harder.
Micro-needling
EDS Rejuvenation is an advanced, electronic, micro-skin needling treatment, a procedure that stimulates the skin to regenerate and repair itself naturally, resulting in smoother, brighter, younger and healthier looking skin.
Professional skin-needling is an established clinically proven procedure and has remarkable results in significantly improving the appearance of:

- Photo-damaged & ageing skin
- Facial and décolleté lines and wrinkles
- Stretch marks
And because skin needling stimulates natural responses in the skin, the results you’ll see are completely natural too.
A course of EDS Rejuvenate treatments depending on the condition being treated, but expect at least three treatments with approximately 4-6 weeks apart.
Growth Factor Facials

Dermalux TriWaveMD
While we often associate light exposure with negative effects such as skin ageing and damage, light also has many positive influences on the body. It helps us produce vitamin D, provides energy and serotonin. It can also encourage cell growth and collagen rejuvenation.
The spectrum of light is grouped into different categories, some you can see, such as red and blue light, and some are invisible such as UV and near-infrared. The differences between the positive and negative effects of light are the amount and the parts of the spectrum you’re exposed to. Different types of light stimulate different responses, so while ongoing exposure to UV is very damaging, controlled levels of near-infrared, blue and red light are clinically proven to be beneficial.
Using LEDs to deliver specific types of light can provide that control, helping to maximise their effects.

Chemical Peels
Peels remove the outer dead layers of the stratum corneum, so the booster ingredients are better absorbed when applied post-peel. AlumierMD’s multilayer process can be customized skin care according to your skin profile and concerns. Beautiful skin doesn’t happen overnight, and treatments take time to show results. A single chemical peel can provide the immediate effect of bright and radiant skin; however, more significant results in treating textural issues, fine lines and inflamed acne could take up to eight weeks.
